David Lloyd Leisure Launches Triathlon Clubs Across UK

David Lloyd Leisure has become the first health, fitness and leisure chain to affiliate and launch triathlon clubs with Triathlon England in all of its English clubs.
It has also gained the same status with Triathlon Scotland for its six Scottish clubs and with Welsh Triathlon for its Cardiff club.
The clubs, present in all David Lloyd Leisure clubs across the UK, will offer members of all fitness levels and sporting ability the opportunity to take part in structured training programmes and sessions run by British Triathlon -qualified coaches, as well as discounted membership of Triathlon England, Scotland and Wales. The health and fitness chain also plans to offer its own triathlon events for members across the UK in 2012.
Group Health and Fitness Manager for David Lloyd Leisure Rob Beale said: “We are excited to be able to launch these clubs after feedback from our members indicated many wanted to get involved. With all our clubs having first class facilities and Triathlon-trained coaches it made sense to offer triathlon training with a structured programme. We are looking forward to seeing our members competing in triathlons, including our own family-friendly events in May next year.”

The triathlon clubs will offer members a minimum of two training sessions each week for all levels of fitness as well as provide information and motivation to take part in local and national events.
