Capital City Film Makers To Release Robots On Capital City Musicians

OTTAWA, ON (PRWEB) August 6, 2004

Giant Box Productions (http://www.GiantBoxRobot.com) announces the release of their first independent film, Giant Box Robot. After almost a year and a half from conception to screen, the finished product will be unveiled August 20, 2004 at Barrymore’s Music Hall (323 Bank St), amidst the sounds of Casey Comeau and the Halfmilers, Greenfieldmain, South of 78, and Graham Greer of Barstool Prophet fame. Tickets for the event are $ 6 in advance or $ 8 at the door. Advanced tickets are available at Invisible Cinema (319 Lisgar) or at the Barrymore’s box office.

About The Film

Giant Box Robot is told in the style of a 1920’s slap-stick black and white silent film, and is the story of the average man, the title character, Giant Box Robot. Average that is, except for the fact that he’s a robot, looking for love. He finds the object of his desire is a waitress-robot, one Ms Box Robot, at the local café in his hometown. As we watch these two love-bots establish a relationship, we see their attempts at affection thwarted by the forces of evil, embodied by the villainous Evil Box Robot and his masked henchmen.

Special Invitation

Members of the press are invited to a special advanced screening of the film on Friday, August 13 at Club Saw, located at 67 Nicholas. Doors open at 7pm with the film being shown shortly thereafter. This is an excellent opportunity to see the film first and chat with the filmmakers, cast and crew. Please RSVP via the contact information listed below to confirm your attendance.
